Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the long-awaited gen 9 Pokemon games, have finally arrived, and fans are loving the adventure.

However, after playing the games, players began to notice some frame rate and performance issues. Even on Twitch, many streamers were experiencing frame drops.

But don’t worry, a popular Twitter account called Centro has discovered a workaround for this problem.

Centro tweeted on November 17th, “FRAME RATE ISSUES CAN BE FIXED BY RESTARTING THE GAME.” We realise that’s a rather unimpressive solution. However, Centro claims that it works.

According to their testing, the biggest issue they had, framerate drops, appear to be caused by a memory leak or something similar when you are near towns or cities.

After a while, the framerates appear to degrade, but saving and restarting the game seems to fix it.

Hopefully, GameFreak will release an update soon to address the memory leak that is causing the frame rate drops.
