Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Season 3 Announced

Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Season 3 is in the works, with Season 2 director Akira Iwanaga, series composer and scriptwriter Shouichi Satou, and character designer and chief animation director Chika Kojima reprising their roles.

Instead of sharing credits with White Fox (Season 1) or Studio Mother, Asread is credited as the sole animation production studio this time. As part of the announcement, a trailer and visual featuring Hajime and Yue were released.

Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest is based on the light novels of Ryou Shirakome, with illustrations by Takaya-ki. The first season of the anime, directed by the late Kinji Yoshimoto, aired in 2019. The second season premiered earlier this year.

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the light novels as:

When a group of students is transported to another world to save it, Hajime Nagumo realises he is the weakest link. He is given the meagre title of Synergist because his classmates and friends are given strong classes and impressive abilities due to their pre-existing abilities. When he is separated from his group during a dungeon quest, Hajime must discover his own talents or perish in this world.

The Overlap Bunko label publishes the Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest light novel series, which has spawned a prequel, a short story anthology, a manga adaptation by RoGa, and spin-offs. The story began in 2013 with the release of a web novel called Shousetsuka ni Narou, followed by light novels in 2015. As of January 2022, twelve volumes had been published.
