The original anime Akiba Maid War, announced in June, will debut in Japan on October 6. The show’s main trailer and key visual have both been released, with the latter introducing the supporting cast.
Minami Tanaka as Yumechi, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Shippon, and Ayahi Takagaki as the owner of the Tontokoton maid cafe are among the newly announced supporting cast members. Okachimachi, described as “more than a Kigurumi but less than a panda,” has the official voice actor credit “???.”
Souichi Masui (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai) directs Akiba Maid War, with series composer Yoshihiro Hiki and character designer Manabu Nii (The Day I Became a God). The team also includes art director Kouhei Honda, colour designer Naomi Nakano (Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night), photography director Rumi Ishiguro (I’m Quitting Heroing: Next Gig Is at the Demon Queen’s Castle co-photography director), and music composer Yoshihiro Ike (takt op.Destiny). The animation is handled by P.A.Works, while the music is handled by Cygames.
Meanwhile, Reina Kondou as Nagomi Wahira and Rina Satou as Ranko Mannen are the main cast members. Ranko, a quiet former maid who returns to Akihabara, and a young girl who dreams of becoming a cute maid.
